We can see that there are velocity vectors which come down from the top in the picture of the top-middle of domain. It may be because the influence of the vortex.

Case 2
I’ve tried to
see the velocity vector more higher than the domain of the Case 1. It’s
conducted by adding domain and the cells. The new domain is different just in
the height, i.e. 10 m with 100 cells. The condition of the rest is the same
with the case 1. Here is the result. The following figure is the velocity
vector for case 2.
We can see the
velocity vector in the top part of the domain. From the figure above, start
from the height of about 8 m from the ground , the velocity vector is the same
with the input (5 m/s). So that there is no influence of the billboard to the
velocity vector at this location.

From the above
simulation result we cannot see the influence of the billboard to the velocity
vector in the righter domain. So I’ve tried to widen the domain for this case.
The condition is the same with the case 2 except for the length, i.e. 40 m with
400 cells. This is the result for the velocity vector.
We can see form figure above that there’s still an influence of the billboard until the length of 40 m although just a little. The most influenced part is about 20 m from the inlet.
